Laurens County EMS has bought five more Lucas Machines to place on our frontline fleet! For those that don't know, the Lucas is an automated thumper that provides compressions to those in cardiac arrest. The intent of these machines are to eliminate the margin of human error. Though our providers are professionals in resuscitation; there will always be human error in components like depth, rate, etc. This latest batch of Lucas' brings our total to 8 Lucas machines throughout the county. This means that our frontline fleet is prepared to provide a higher standard of cardiac arrest treatment to the citizens and visitors of our county.
